Matt Bird or Matteo as he is known in Sicily lives between London and his holiday home in Noto. He first visited Noto and the Val di Noto in 2021 and like many people fell in love with the place, people and life.

A good job he did because he had just purchased a holiday home in Noto on the recommendation of friends having never visited Sicily let alone Noto!

He discovered the best of Noto, and the Val di Noto, by trial and error, and so began writing about his experiences to help others. Each year he publishes a new edition of his travel guide ‘Matt’s Noto’ which is available globally via Amazon.

Alongside recommending where to go and what to do it is a beautiful hardback book full of colour photos, ideal for any coffee table. He loves being a travel writer always discovering new delights for visitors to enjoy
