Modica is the chocolate capital of Sicily and a 40-minute drive from Noto so a perfect day out.
Famous for its unique ancient method of chocolate production is used that does not involved tempering. Given the chocolate is not heated there remains a delicate crunch on the palate from the sugar used in the mix.
Modica has some fabulous restaurants and bars ranging from enoteca serving wine and charcuterie plates through to one of the best Michelin Star restaurants in Sicily.
Chef Accursio Craparo the executive chef and proprieter deserves every point and twinkle of his Michelin Star. An exceptional fine dining experience within easy reach of Noto.

Singola is a vegetarian organic food restaurant. Chef Pasquale Passannante is a master of plant-based cookery. I am a full on carnivore and yet Singola is one of my personal favourites.
