Scicli is one of the cutest small towns in southeast Sicily. Strolling through and enjoying the shops, churches and architecture is charming. If you feel more energetic, you can walk to the hillside church or head straight for some refreshment.
Cannolia is a historic Patisserie in downtown Scicli. On my first visit I asked if the canoli were fresh. Sometimes they are made the night before and the shell is soggy and the ricotta dry. They explained yes and then they proceeded to cook the canoli shell completely fresh. Highly recommended!

My Name is Taninno is a wine bar serving tapas plates besides the waterway in downtown Scicli. It is named after the owner Taninno (which is Italian for “tanin” — the grape stalks and skins used during wine making and indicating that this location is all about the wine!).

Buki Buki is a restaurant bar on one of the most beautiful streets in Scicli where you can visit while away the afternoon eating, drinking and people watching. My favourite dish at Buki Buki is their cheese ‘box’ an amazing selection of local cheeses, crackers and accompaniments — its absolutely fantastic!

Ummara is a traditional Sicilian restaurant, that is only open in the evenings. I am yet to dine with them, however it comes highly recommended.

Baqqala is the best restaurant (fish) in Scicli, loved by locals and visitors alike. It’s located in a charming neighbourhood, in a quiet corner with a lovely alfresco terrace.
